Basic Obedience is the beginning level and all dogs should proficiently master these commands before moving to Advanced Obedience which involves more off leash work.

BASIC DOG OBEDIENCE PROGRAM

Dog Boarding Program – Dogs are typically boarded for 10 days and learn 12 obedience commands.  This dog training program also includes 2 one hour private handling sessions to train the owners.

Individual Program – Includes 3 one hour private sessions with the owner and covers 12 commands.  The dog is not boarded.

ADVANCED DOG OBEDIENCE PROGRAM

Dog Boarding Program – Dogs are boarded for 2 weeks and learn obedience commands off leash.  This dog training program also includes 2 one hour private handler sessions for training the owner.

Individual Program – Includes 3 one hour private sessions with the owner and cover off leash obedience commands.  The dog is not boarded. 

BEHAVIOR PROBLEM DOG OBEDIENCE

This program is designed for difficult behavior problems in effort to rehabilitate dogs who have issues in the areas of extreme shyness, aggression and other problems that can be life altering.  The program    trains owners to be educated in those areas and take an active role in recognizing and controlling dogs that may be more to handle. Techniques are taught for specifically training the dog to view things in a more positive manner and allowing the owner to be in control.

IN HOME DOG BEHAVIOR PROBLEM CONSULTATION

Our professional dog trainer will come to your home for a approximately one to one and a half hour dog behavior consultation where you receive information and techniques to address a specific dog behavior problem.  There is a mileage limit on distance.   Different dog behavior problems along with dog psychology may be addressed and more in depth training may be necessary.

AGILITY FOR FUN

This program involves activities seen in many dog agility competitions.  This is a great program for bringing out mildly shy dogs, working high energy dogs or just increasing your bond and having fun  with your canine companion.  It involves 3 private one hour dog training sessions.

ASSISSTANCE DOG TRAINING

We have trained dogs to be Certified Assistance Dogs to work for the handicapped and as therapy dogs.  While purchasing a fully trained assistance dog can be cost prohibitive for most people, many times we can work with you and an appropriate canine to train for your specific needs.

AKC CANINE GOOD CITIZEN TRAINING AND TEST

This is an AKC program for dogs to earn their Canine Good Citizen certificate.  It requires you have a well mannered pet and shows you are a responsible pet owner.  We offer obedience training that will meet requirements to successfully earn your CGC title.

COMPETITION TRAINING

We have trained dogs to earn various levels of AKC titles.  Our dogs have also earned a variety of working dog titles such as Tracking, Schutzhund, KNPV (Dutch Police) and many other police dog titles.  We offer dog training specifically for those competitions in which you wish to earn a title with your dog.

K9 CAMP FOR KIDS

Our one week summer camp for kids with or without a dog. They may bring their own dog or handle one of ours. They learn about dog behaviour, training skills, animal health, get to do a few tricks and handle a variety of dogs. All dogs are social. We hold these two weeks every summer. ANSWERS TO FREQUENTLY ASKED OBEDIENCE QUESTIONS

• We have offered these programs since 1990 with tremendous success.  All dogs complete these programs in the scheduled time frame, however, if we see the dog needs extra time we will extend the training.
• In handling dogs we never exclude the value of the owner, you are trained also.  It is important that owners realize achieving a well mannered dog requires a commitment to educating yourself and following the instructions of your professional dog trainer.  We spend a great deal of time working with owners so you are good handlers.
• Our reputation is of great value and we never want anyone to feel they were not successful here. If you have questions or concerns we want to hear them and we will do our very best to work with you.  While we try to be very clear about our programs and policies we believe in treating people the way we would want to be treated.
• We accept all dog breeds and all sizes.  Pricing for each program is based on breed and age.
• We start puppies as early as 12 weeks in our regular basic obedience program.  
• All dogs should be current on bordetella and rabies vaccines. 
• Puppies cannot have rabies until 16 weeks of age but should have at least 2 distemper/parvo vaccinations.
• We train deaf dogs, blind dogs, and dogs with missing legs.
• We will train dogs with issues other dog trainers will not take.
